Job Title - Security Systems Service Engineer / Technician (Hybrid)

Location - Galway (Hybrid – Client Site & Field-Based)

Salary - Up to €60,000

An opportunity has arisen for a Security Systems Service Engineer / Technician to support a hybrid role in Galway, combining scheduled on-site support for a key client with field service work across the wider region.

You will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and ongoing operation of electronic security systems, including Access Control, CCTV and Intruder Detection, while delivering high-quality service to both the client site and regional customers.

This role offers variety, stability and the opportunity to gain experience within enterprise environments while remaining part of a wider service engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site support to a key client as part of a hybrid embedded arrangement

  • Deliver reactive and planned service support across the wider region

  • Carry out maintenance, fault finding and repairs on security systems

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

  • Support minor works, upgrades and system enhancements

  • Conduct system testing and basic commissioning

  • Maintain accurate service reports and documentation

  • Liaise professionally with customers and internal teams

  • Escalate complex issues where required

Requirements

Essential

  • 2–4 years’ experience in the electronic security industry

  • Experience working with:

    • Access Control systems

    • CCTV / IP CCTV

    • Intruder Detection systems

  • Basic understanding of IP networking and system integration

  • Experience in service, maintenance or installation roles

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve system faults

  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills

  • Organised, dependable and able to work independently or within a team

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Full clean driving licence

Desirable

  • Experience working in enterprise or corporate environments

  • Exposure to SLA-driven service delivery

  • Familiarity with service management or ticketing systems
